In Your Words
"I remember my second hypomanic episode at 18. Like Aurora, I was in the Deep South. I walked everywhere, hardly ate anything and thought life was wonderful. And then it ended. I got depressed and the depression lasted a long time. Aurora describes all of us. She got so excited, everything is possible and then the crash. I wish I had been able to read about bipolar disorder when I was 17 –I’m glad Deborah finally wrote the book!"
